Have you ever read the book 1984 by George Orwell? It tells a story about a goverment who controlled it’s people by changing the very language they spoke.
I deal with that problem as it exists in today’s world quite a bit on my financial success blog and in other places. The meanings that people give […]
I’ve hit a milestone in the weight loss project. I’m no longer “obese” by many charts. I’m merely “overweight.”
I’m also at the halfway mark to “normal weight.”
It’s been less than four months since I started this project. I would say that the plan is working and working extremely well. I’m pleased with the results.
The plan […]

I was once a long distance runner. During that time, I could eat anything I wanted (and did) and would not gain weight.
I remember joining a running club. We would run 10 or 15 miles with Pizza Hut as the destination. When we got there, we would each scarf down a large […]
There have been at least five times in my life where my lifestyle did lead to an ideal weight or weight loss at a rate that would lead to my ideal weight.
I’ll cover each in more detail in the future, but I thought I would list them for you to ponder:
1. Running and eating well. […]
I weighed in at 279.5 this morning.
I injured my foot on friday (stepped on one of my kids toys), so I don’t know how much walking I’ll do early this week.
Breakfast was home-made chicken vegetable soup with all organic chicken, carrots, potatoes, peas and green beans.
I had buttered (organic) rye toast (organic) along with the […]
We had a freak snow storm with high winds.
I didn’t take a walk yesterday.
Today I weighed in at 280.5.
Any diet and exercise program will at times not fit your lifestyle or circumstances. There is no reason to beat yourself up because you missed a walk or ate a huge piece of chocolate cake.
You have […]
I weighed in at 279 this morning.
I ate a huge breakfast including two fried eggs, two pieces of buttered toast, a slab of smoked salmon, vegetable juice (juiced the veggies we didn’t eat last week because new veggies arrived from Diamond Organics), a half grapefruit and half a mango.
I’m off for my daily walk… which, […]
I had been avoiding my driveway for my walks because it is a quarter mile long and is a 40 degree climb.
I felt so good this morning that I went for it. That made my morning walk about 2.5 miles instead of a mile to my property gate and a mile back.
I weighed in at […]
I weighed in at 280.5 this morning.
I had granola and yogurt for breakfast (both organic) and an organic grapefruit. Granola is about the closest thing in the U.S. that I can find to my favorite Swiss cereal… muslix.
Today, I’m going for a 2 mile walk… up from a mile each day last week.

I ate the soup for both breakfast and lunch. It was very yummy. With breakfast, I also had a half grapefruit. With lunch, I also had an apple.
Dinner was a salad of some unknown lettuce type with ranch dressing and several kinds of cheeses. That was followed by buffalo burgers which were seasoned with cayenne, […]

I weighed in at 280 pounds this morning.
I ate a reasonable facsimile of a European breakfast this morning. I had pumpernickle bread with butter spread on it and topped with roast beef and swiss cheese. I ate this with a knife and fork as you are expected to do in Europe. Here, it would seem […]
This morning, I weighed in at 282 pounds.
I drank a large glass of water when I woke up.
I ate two fried eggs, two pieces of rye toast smothered with butter, a large glass of tomato juice and a half grapefruit for breakfast.
Following breakfast, I walked one mile. It took 25 minutes.

I started my new routine this morning.
I woke up and drank a large glass of water.
I weighed in at 284 pounds.
I made a big breakfast consisting of a three egg omelette with cheese fried in a mixture of butter, salt, pepper and cayenne. Along with the omelette, I had a half salted grapefruit and a large […]
