  1. Congratulations !! Not only have you mastered your primal urges to eat, but you are in control. The difficult task is mastering the mind.

    James,

    Way To Go!
Your getting done what needed to be done.
It’s all in the starting & the following through.
Your doing exactly what 98% of people can’t do.
I’ll have to read the rest of your blog to find out what your doing right.
    It obviously works.

I’ve lost 25 pounds using the Bill Phillips “Body For Life” program.
I met a women who had lost over 250 pounds using the program, so it got me really motivated to do it.
I realized that the program definitely worked (unlike some of the other programs out there) and all I had to do to lose the weight was to follow the program.
If I didn’t succeed, all I had to do was look in the mirror to see who was responsible.
The voice inside my head just told me to follow the program and not deviate at all.
    I didn’t.
I just kept following the voice which kept me motivated to continue.
I still have 30 pounds to lose, which should take me 15-30 weeks.
It’s really tough at times, but you just have to keep putting one foot in front of another and keep on moving.
Thanks much for the motivation to continue as it’s been a real battle lately to lose those last pounds.

  6. Congratulations, you’ve done well.

My new partner did better but she used a Lapband. She lost 60 kg’s in 6 months, getting down to her current weight of 62kg’s. Yes, she lost 50% of her body weight.

She does have ongoing minor issues with the Lapband, like getting the fluid level right and she gets “jammed” occassionaly but otherwise she says that it has saved her life.

    Hi James,

Fongratulations! You’re looking good. I know how good it feels to loose the weight. I lost about 100lbs in one year, but managed to put back on 20lbs and am trying hard to loose that… once I hit that milestone then there is yet another 80lbs or so to go.

    Regards,

    Mo
